Undatify helps people discover what personal data private companies hold about them and, if necessary, request its deletion. While the service was designed with a European audience in mind, it is accessible to anyone. Our challenge was to create an attractive and cohesive brand style that would position Undatify as a protector of users’ privacy.
Concern over the potential for personal data leaks is increasing. Undatify empowers users to take control of their personal data online, allowing them to locate and remove their information.
We chose an alphabetic code as the key visual element to symbolize information. Embedded within the code are areas where users’ data is most commonly stored.
The Undatify logo is placed on a solid background, symbolizing the removal of users’ personal information from the digital space.
The letter pattern transitions from the digital space into reality. To achieve this effect, we layered images and videos featuring people. Using the visual programming environment TouchDesigner, we developed a custom patch for this project that allows a video to be transformed into a branded digital pattern.
We also developed a design concept for the brand’s social media accounts, created a guide for working with layouts on social platforms, and prepared templates to help users quickly assemble creative content.
